I have been fortunate enough to be able to experience many adventures throughout my journey. These experiences are more like impressions they leave something with you and you leave something with it. I love the idea of pursuing such adventures, while continuing to grow and stretch. The fear of regret as always kept me grounded and allowed me to push through resistance that may have accumulated.
I don’t know every step that I will take, when I step into a new adventure. At times, it is scary, but it’s also liberating. There is a sense of beauty that I find in having an idea and bringing it into reality. I’ve always loved building things and exploring the simplicity and complexity of idea. My favorite joy is in the friction of the opposites.
I believe there is so much possibility and potential within each and every one of us, but why don’t live up to it? By saying don’t live with regrets, I’m not saying that you won’t have any or that I don’t. My thought is that because life is short, why not create something amazing with it.
Maybe we don’t happen upon a life of our dreams, but we fashion it through our intention and action. Sometimes, we have to do things even when we aren’t sure how it will turn or when we aren’t motivated. One of my favorite books is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, I recently just finished this book last week, while I was in NYC.
I personally connect quite deeply with the main character named Santiago, he is a shepherd that sets out on a journey to find treasure. Finding it in a way he least expects. The main theme of the book is about Alchemy, the act of transforming any base metal into gold. In relation to the story it’s about the act of transforming your life into gold. By maximizing your talents, skills and abilities to transform your life.
You have to do the things you want to do to become what you want to be. For me, that is writing, reading, creating, helping others, traveling and so much more. My main passion is about discovering myself with more intensity each and everyday. The journey and the beauty in life is about who we become through our adventure. You are valuable not because of what you have in life, but for the person you become.
If you haven’t read The Alchemist, I highly recommend to pick it up. Read it with the tenderness and curiosity of a child. If you’ve enjoyed this post, please do me a favor, share it and sign up to be notified of future posts.
