Staying the Course

The way I start the morning of a new day…

My eyes open and I say “Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.”  Thank you, for me is a prayer.  It keeps me in grounded in a state of appreciation.

I kiss my cats, walk upstairs and meditate.

My intention is to stand up from the yoga mat a different person than when I sat down.  The more focused I am the easier it is for me to execute on my intention.  I can stay the course as long I maintain my resilience and vision.

It is hard to be upset, when you are living in a state of gratitude.

I have by no means mastered gratitude; I have bad days, tempers and even hold grudges.  Being honest about that is freeing.  By knowing that we aren’t perfect and it gives us permission to grow.  It takes courage to stay the course, when other tell you that you’ll fail.

It takes vulnerability to recognize your own imperfection.  It’s often the things we don’t recognize that hold us back.

Authenticity is contagious, when we are ourselves we give others permission to be themselves as well.  When prioritize and engage gratitude on a daily basis.  It grounds us and we can share that with others.

I am driven and passionate, I don’t believe in making excuses.  In the moment, I try to make the greatest impact that I can where I am at.  When I focus on a deeper sense of love and compassion, I lean into a better version of me.

How can you be more loving in your life? How can you continue to stay the course?  If you’ve enjoyed this post, please do me a favor, share it and sign up to be notified of future posts.
